This company is a shyster company. My 77 year old brother, who is a Vietnam Veteran, as well as a retired NYC firefighter, was taken advantage of by MAGA Construction and Masonry located in New Jersey. For the last year he has been showing obvious signs of forgertfulness and usually has someone staying with him, to help him and guard him against fraudulent scamsters like these people.
Unfortunately, when no one was available to be with him for a week, these people swooped in and solicited a job for $18000. The company claimed they cleaned the fascia board, soffits and gutters all around his home. When I advised we did not see any contract or itemized receipt for the work, a Boston Irishman named Tony, who answered the company phone at 201-233-1691 and who seemed to know the addresss and work, assured me that he would also have another copy sent out. This was on June 25th, 2025. To date, I have left 3 additional messages to which I have received no reply or paperwork. Nor can I see any real work for this job being done on the house and requested that someone stop by to show me the work done.
Ths work transpired during a time when my brother was incorrectly taking his meds and, was very confused, which was obvious to the general public and to his VA doctor. This company took advantage of a person who was not able to make legitimate decisions. This company overcharged him S18,000. for a job that probably was worth less that a few thousand dollars at most. I will be further contacting agencies that deal with this type of abuse and scamming of the elderly and incompetent. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE VERY UNETHICAL AND WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU!
